Here are our new adventures!! We saw them at the local nursery and loved them!! We brought them home Tuesday March 23. We are so excited to have fresh eggs and to have 4 little chickens running around the yard! They are supposed to all be female. We hope it is that way, since roosters are so noisy.
Boston has absolutely fell in love with them! He checks on them multiple times a day. He has named his, Blacker (the black one). He talks to them asking them how they are and if they are ok. It has been really cute. He was really shy with holding them at first, but loves it now!! He would walk around the house with one if I let him. I just don't want the poop all over my house.
Molly thinks they are great until they flap their wings. She is then frightened for a minute and then goes back in. She pets them, but doesn't like how their feet feel, so she won't hold one. She does continue to try.
So each of us got to pick which one is ours. Boston's is the black one - blacker. Molly's is the yellow one - no name. Jason's is the brown one - no name (his is now the smallest). And mine is the white one - Lucy.

We are looking into getting chickens also. I can't wait! Good Luck!
We're thinking about getting some too. I think it will be nice to have a "pet" but also get some fresh eggs out of it.
