Easter Celebrations

It was such a wonderful day yesterday!! We loved being together and sharing it with some friends. The kids had the easter bunny come in the morning. They both had baskets (I forgot to get pictures - now they are all over the house) with coloring books, crayons, a DVD, some candy and sidewalk chalk. Molly got the princess and the frog movie and Boston got the older Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. They loved it. They colored and watched a little of conference with us. We then had some friends over for lunch and easter egg hunt and fun easter activities. Here are the pictures.

The boys getting ready to go outside and find their eggs. They didn't wait for Molly! She was way too slow. It is a good things the eggs were color coded, so they could only get their own.

These next ones are the aftermath of the hunt. I wasn't fast enough to get a picture of the full baskets of eggs. Molly's eggs were pink and purple. Boston's were blue and orange.

The next ones are the bird's nest. Each person got to make a nest and fill it with grass, eggs and a bird or two. The nest's were just like rice crispies, but with chow mien noodles. It was fun, even the guys got into it. But some of the pictures were quite as appropriate as the kids.

This is Boston's nest!!

Here is the egg dying part! The boys had fun doing it. Our friends had an egg spinner that would dye the eggs. The boys would take turns pushing the top to spin the egg. We did eventually whip out the old fashioned cups of dye. I was amazed at how long the 4 almost 5 years olds stayed around doing this (even the dad's for that matter).

Molly's Easter Dress!! She loved it. She wouldn't let me take it off for bed. Sorry I don't have a good front view. There was too much going on yesterday for her to sit still.
